???????

Yesterday was not good. As the day progressed it got worse. Is this typical? Five days after chemo?

This morning I am somewhat better but still not feeling too good. I am hoping it gets better as this day goes on.

Also, can someone please tell me how to get rid of this awful taste in my mouth? It is there all the time now. I can’t tell if foods are good or bad or maybe even spoiled. Nothing tastes right. Everything has this awful taste. And the taste is making me sick to my stomach.

Don't know what to say about the yucky taste in your mouth, but I can say I hope you start feeling better.

Good luck.

Sometimes I would have ups and downs. I found that popsicles were good for me and they help keep the mouth sores at bay too. Even sugar free popsicles were fine. I drank a lot of "Moroccan Mint Green Tea" as iced tea. Somehow the mint in the tea and citrus in the popsicles helped the nauseous feeling. Also, don't be afraid to pick up the phone and call the chemo nurses. They are phenomenal. They have been through this so many times that they really do know what works best and will help you out. Hang in there. There are ups and downs, but the end result will be worth it.

Gypsy... Thank you! Really cool that you found this informatin. My taste thing makes more sense now. Figures that I would be in the percent that gets this problem!

Jeannette... Yes, it appears the ups and downs are here for me. I just keep trying to project ahead and think about the fact that I won't be going through this all my life... this is all very short term and will only last a few months. I am certainly counting ahead though to the last day of chemo already!
